Our Adventures
Varun and Helen met at NYU’s Anime club in 2006. He thought she was a crazy actor. She was. She thought he was cute and aloof. He was. They were friends until 2008 when they started dating. They took their first trip when Varun graduated from law school, five long years later. Helen wasn’t even an actor anymore. She had finished grad school and became a teacher! A whole month in Europe! The ultimate reward for the ultimate sacrifice!
Proof Varun was happy to get engaged.
Are Just
Varun went to Asia right after, where he would later (like five years later) take Helen to propose. That’s the picture you have on your invitations. That’s where he took Helen to propose. It’s pretty awesome. Who says he’s not romantic?
Also the Grand Canyon! And Sedona! And the Fingerlakes! They love to travel together. It’s a thing.

Beginning
Why Scotland? (No one who’s been asks that question, by the way.) When Helen studied abroad in England, she managed to fall in love with Scotland during a brief three day love affair.
Ten years later, Helen and Varun went to Scotland to make sure they should get married there. Turns out Varun loves it too, because it’s amazing and cold and going to be a ton of atmospherically gloomy beautiful fun. Bring a sweater.
